The Grand Slam for Sandy Fundraiser was started by Boston Red Sox prospect Jayson Hernandez and former Rutgers University teammate Rob Corsi. The fundraiser raised over $20,000 to help families in Union Beach, NJ recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

We had the funds to fix our floor, have a working bathroom and repaired HVAC lines. Our lives have settled back to normal and are finally back on course.
